• Choose your path. Become an actor, film crew, or a member of a celebrity's entourage (manager, bodyguard, stylist, etc.).
• Custom IMDb movie templates. Our IMDb templates allow characters (actors or film crew) to sign up for roles in various movies and TV shows. The more shows you work on, the more recognition you gain and the more famous you become. Members are also welcome (and are highly encouraged) to use the templates to create their own shows/movies and submit them to be used in our lineup.
• Original hierarchy! Member groups for actors and film crew follow a hierarchical system. To become the next A-list star you must advance through the hierarchy and climb your way to the top. (Or you can ditch the hierarchy altogether and become an indie actor.) This is explained in more detail in this thread.
• Experienced writers! We only require 300 words per post, but many of our writers easily surpass this minimum. However, the low word count is always nice to fall back on for those grimy, museless days.
• Friendly and laid back community. At TI, everyone is family and no one is left out of the loop. We love cbox parties andtalking to strangersseeing new faces so don't be afraid to pop in for a chat or just to say hi! The more friends the merrier.
• Refreshingly unique layout! You won't see many ProBoards sites that look like ours. We've received many compliments on our aesthetic skin and unique board setup. TI is user-friendly and easy to navigate!
• Newly reopened. The Industry was originally created in early 2010 and had a very prosperous two year run. After some downtime, we reopened our doors to the public in June 2013. Now is the perfect time to join if you want to watch the site grow and help us establish a new foundation!
